LAT1 Inhibitor Program
Early discovery program focused on a selective, small-molecule inhibitor of the L-type amino acid transporter 1 (LAT1) system. LAT1 supplies neutral amino acids to rapidly proliferating cells, and acts as a critical co-stimulant for the mTOR complex.
LAT1 represents an attractive new target for treating immune disorders mediated by overactive T-cells due to its elevated expression in activated, but not resting, T-cells. Blocking LAT1 function with our potent, proprietary, inhibitors may result in treatment options for patients impacted by a wide range of autoimmune diseases.
